Call Resistance and Put Support: Intraday 0DTE Levels

Call Wall and Put Wall reflect the accumulated open interest across every expiration, regardless of when it expires. Call Resistance and Put Support reflect the concentration of options expiring today or tomorrow, which makes them react faster to shifts in intraday flow. They read alongside Long-wall and Short-fuel (/docs/long-wall-short-fuel-intraday-0dte-levels).

Like the rest of the platform's levels, Call Resistance and Put Support calculate for any index, future, or stock with an active short-dated options chain.

What Call Resistance Is

Call Resistance is the strike with the largest concentration of calls among the 0DTE and 1DTE options. It marks short-term resistance: as price approaches, the concentration of calls at that strike concentrates the dealer's hedging and brakes the move higher.

What Put Support Is

Put Support is the strike with the largest concentration of puts among the 0DTE and 1DTE options. It marks short-term support: as price approaches from above, the concentration of puts at that strike concentrates the dealer's hedging and brakes the move lower.

Where They Sit Relative to Call Wall and Put Wall

Call Resistance and Put Support typically sit inside the range marked by Call Wall and Put Wall, acting as a layer closer to price that reacts faster through the day. When Call Resistance lines up with the Call Wall, or Put Support lines up with the Put Wall, that zone gains an extra confluence between the structural level and the intraday level.

Reading Them Through the Session

Level Horizon Role
Call Resistance 0DTE / 1DTE Short-term resistance
Put Support 0DTE / 1DTE Short-term support

Key idea: Call Resistance and Put Support act as the short-term version of Call Wall and Put Wall, built from the concentration of options expiring today or tomorrow instead of the full accumulated open interest.

The next concept is Expected Move, the underlying's expected price range for the session. Continue with Expected Move
