0DTE, 1DTE, or ALL: Choosing the Right Horizon
0DTE, 1DTE, or ALL completely change what you see in the GammaContext suite for NinjaTrader 8. How to pick the right horizon for how you trade.

GammaContext now has an indicator and panel for NinjaTrader 8: Gamma Flip, Call Wall, Put Wall and your full gamma exposure context, right on your chart.

Gamma exposure on NinjaTrader 8 no longer needs a second screen. Until today, reading that context meant keeping two windows open: your chart, and the GammaContext dashboard in the browser. Every time price moved fast, your eyes had to jump from one screen to the other. You had to confirm where the Gamma Flip sat. You had to check how close price was to the Call Wall.
That changes with the GammaContext suite for NinjaTrader 8. Three new components bring that same gamma exposure context straight to the chart you already trade on. Levels draw right over price. The strike profile sits alongside the chart. A context panel runs live, in its own window. This guide covers what the suite includes, why it matters to have it on the chart, how to activate it, and who it's built for.
Aggregate market gamma exposure, or Net GEX, describes how price is likely to react to dealer hedging. It can dampen the move. It can accelerate it. According to CME Group (2026), Gamma measures how fast an option's Delta changes as the underlying moves. That speed of change is exactly what forces dealers to keep readjusting their hedges.
The problem isn't understanding the concept. The problem is the gap between seeing a level on one screen and reacting on another. When price approaches a key level fast, every second spent looking at another window is a decision made late. The GammaContext web dashboard is still the full view. It has history. It has every asset you track. But at the moment of execution, a trader needs that same read without taking their eyes off the candle forming right now.
The NT8 suite closes exactly that gap. It doesn't replace the dashboard. It brings it to the chart, at the moment it matters most.
The suite has three pieces. Each does a distinct job.
GCIGexLevels draws the structural levels directly over price: Gamma Flip, Call Wall, Put Wall, Long Wall, Short Fuel, Res Call, and Sop Put. Each level shows as a line or a zone on your candle. A horizon selector lets you choose 0DTE, 1DTE, or ALL.
GCIStrikeProfile draws a horizontal profile alongside your chart, strike by strike. You pick the metric: GEX, Convexity, or DEX, on a Volume or Open Interest basis. Instead of a single aggregate number, you see exactly how pressure is distributed across the strikes near price.
GammaContext Gex Panel is its own floating window inside NinjaTrader. It brings three at-a-glance cards: Regime, Bias, Space. It adds a Max Change heatmap that shows whether gamma is actually moving in the last few minutes.
| Component | Where it lives on the chart | What it answers |
|---|---|---|
| GCIGexLevels | Lines and zones over price | Where are the key levels right now? |
| GCIStrikeProfile | Horizontal profile alongside the chart | How is pressure distributed across strikes? |
| GammaContext Gex Panel | Its own floating window | What regime am I in, and how far from a level? |

All three components read the same live feed the dashboard already uses. It's not a scaled-down version. It's not a sample. It's the same data, right where you need it.
Imagine the underlying trades at 21,360 at the open. GCIGexLevels shows the Gamma Flip at 21,340: price sits twenty points above it, inside positive gamma territory. The same line marks the Call Wall at 21,420 and the Put Wall at 21,280.
The GammaContext Gex Panel confirms the same read on its Regime card: positive gamma, twenty points from the Flip. The Space card adds the missing piece: sixty points to the Call Wall above, eighty points to the Put Wall below. GCIStrikeProfile, alongside the chart, shows the pressure isn't split evenly: the 21,420 strike carries almost double the GEX of the next strongest strike.
With those three reads together, on the same screen, you have the regime, the bias, and the full pressure map before deciding on any entry. Before the NT8 suite, that same read meant crossing between the dashboard and the chart several times a session.
All three components activate with a single Key, available on the Pro and Algo plans. You generate it from the portal, under Integrations → NinjaTrader. That same Key turns on GCIGexLevels, GCIStrikeProfile, and GammaContext Gex Panel together. There's no separate activation. There's no partial purchase of the suite.
The package downloads from the same place you get your Key: in the portal, under Integrations → NinjaTrader, the download button gives you the .zip ready to import. Once imported, paste your Key into any of the three components and they connect live. For step-by-step installation and every configurable parameter, the technical documentation covers each component in detail.
GammaContext is built for the retail trader looking for one or two high-quality trades a day. It isn't built for someone chasing minute-by-minute noise. The same gamma exposure concepts you already use on the dashboard (the Flip, regime, structural levels) apply equally to any liquid future with an active options market. According to Investopedia, the Greeks are the tool options traders use daily to understand how a position will react to price changes. That same logic is exactly what an aggregate gamma exposure map applies at a market-wide level.
The NT8 suite doesn't change that method. It just puts it where the decision already happens. If you're coming from the web dashboard, there's no new learning curve. Same names. Same levels. Now on your own candle.
Each piece of the suite has its own deep-dive guide. They're ordered the way the suite is typically used:
Recognizing a regime shift early is exactly what allows repositioning with the most current information. The alternative is trading off a read from half an hour ago. According to CFA Institute (2026), recognizing a risk regime change early is what allows for timely repositioning. Operating with fixed frameworks that no longer match the moment is the less useful alternative. Having that context on the chart, without switching windows, is exactly what the gamma exposure suite on NinjaTrader 8 gains you.
Do I need to buy the three components separately? No. A single Key activates GCIGexLevels, GCIStrikeProfile, and GammaContext Gex Panel at the same time. The suite ships complete, not piecemeal.
Does the suite replace the GammaContext web dashboard? No. The dashboard remains the full view with history. The NT8 suite brings that same live context to the chart, for the moment of execution.
Does it work with any liquid futures options market? Yes. The method is asset-agnostic. The same levels and concepts apply to any liquid instrument you follow on NinjaTrader 8.
What plan do I need to use it? The suite is available on the Pro and Algo plans.
Where do I download the installer?
From the portal, under Integrations → NinjaTrader. Your Key and the download button for the .zip are both there. The full walkthrough lives in the installation guide.
